Vistara Decision Intelligence for Retail · Executive demo
This illustrative retail scenario follows one pricing decision through connected business context, human approval and Day 30, 60 and 90 outcome reviews. It presents functionality and leadership outputs without publishing model logic, technical architecture or implementation methods.

Naming note. This film uses earlier module names. The current names are PriceOptimaIQ (pricing), PromoOptimaIQ (promotion), InventoryOptimaIQ (availability and allocation) and SupplierOptimaIQ (replenishment), which is a pipeline module.
Consider a multi-region retailer beginning a ninety-day controlled pilot around a critical six-week seasonal window. The goal is not full enterprise rollout. It is to test one recurring pricing decision—from recommendation through approval and measured outcome—before deciding whether to scale.
The retailer’s pricing platform—or an approved internal AI model—recommends a seven-percent reduction. It is commercially reasonable. But many AI-enabled processes stop here: the model produces an answer while the business must still decide where it applies, what could make it fail and who can act.
The category manager checks an inventory report, opens the promotion calendar, reviews a supplier email and calls regional operations. Exceptions move through separate conversations. By the time the views are reconciled, a one-day decision has become a four-day process.
The evidence does not point in one direction. Eighteen pilot stores can support the action. Two regions face replenishment constraints, and a promotion begins in twenty-one days. Applying the same action everywhere could lift demand where supply is weakest and dilute the promotion.
Managers make local exceptions. Some accept the recommendation; others delay or override it. Decision time extends from one day to four. Without a shared basis for exceptions, managers make their own calls, and adoption falls well below target.
The retailer already has models, platforms and dashboards. The gap appears after the recommendation. Vistara OptimaIQ bridges it, working alongside approved internal models and existing systems to bring the recommendation into the business workflow with the context, constraints, authority and outcome measures required for responsible action.
Now the recommendation no longer moves between disconnected reports, emails and conversations. The relevant inventory, promotion and supplier context travels with it. Exceptions are visible, authority is explicit, and leadership can see where to act and how the outcome will be measured.
The Commercial Decision Summary makes the choice visible: eighteen stores with sufficient inventory; six matched stores outside the pilot as a comparison group; constrained regions excluded; and a twenty-one-day action with a named owner and reviews at days thirty, sixty and ninety.
Before approval, the retailer confirms approved data use and applicable privacy, regional commercial and client-policy requirements. These checks do not replace legal or compliance judgment. They make the required review visible before action.
The recommendation is no longer just a number. The Category Vice President considers three choices: apply it broadly, defer it, or run a controlled test. She chooses the controlled path—eighteen stores, six matched stores outside the pilot, constrained regions excluded, and a twenty-one-day window. The decision is now owned, bounded and measurable.
At day thirty, leadership compares the approved price action in the test stores with the six matched stores outside the pilot—sell-through, margin, availability and override behavior. The comparison helps separate the decision’s effect from broader seasonal movement and confirms whether execution matched the approved plan.
At day sixty, the review moves faster. Evidence shows which clusters responded, where availability weakened and where managers continued to override. Leadership adjusts the scope rather than defending the original recommendation. The decision changes as the evidence changes.
At day ninety, the pace slows for the decision that matters most: scale, modify or stop the price action. Leadership has the recommendation, approved boundaries, material exceptions and measured outcomes against a comparison group. Expansion is based on a reviewed business decision—not a promising dashboard.
Clients can begin with the capability they need—or retain existing AI and analytics models. PriceIQ supports pricing decisions; PromoIQ promotion choices; InventoryIQ availability and allocation; and SupplierIQ replenishment decisions. Each creates value independently. When decisions cross boundaries, OptimaIQ connects only the required context—reducing reconciliation, conflicting actions and unclear ownership.
Most AI tools stop at the recommendation. OptimaIQ connects the context, governance and human authority required to act—and keeps the outcome visible. Start with one decision. Extend where connected context adds value. Vistara OptimaIQ. Decision Intelligence. AI can recommend. OptimaIQ turns recommendations into accountable decisions—and decisions into measurable outcomes. Connected decisions. Governed action. Measurable value.

Vistara Decision Intelligence for Retail · Connected decision areas
PriceOptimaIQ is in development. PromoOptimaIQ and InventoryOptimaIQ are planned modules. All three are optional sources of decision context within Vistara Decision Intelligence's source-agnostic governance layer.
Governed pricing decisions connecting commercial context, guardrails, explainable recommendations, human approval, execution handoff, and measured outcomes.
Promotion planning and post-event learning across margin, funding, cannibalization, timing, and store or channel response.
Availability, allocation, replenishment, markdown exposure, working capital, and stock-risk signals within accountable operating decisions.
Transparent status: PromoOptimaIQ and InventoryOptimaIQ are planned; their scope and timing are not committed. All three modules are intended to use the same guardrails, human approval, decision traceability, authorized handoff, and outcome learning. No autonomous execution, commercial availability, or production maturity is implied.
2027+ exploration: Vistara intends to evaluate client-specific configurations of its decision platform for healthcare, hospitality, and other service environments. These are exploration areas—not committed product editions, release dates, or claims of commercial availability.
